Linda Bailey began her professional journey by earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York. She spent the first 14 years of her career as a clinical medical technologist, working in hospital laboratories and developing a strong foundation in patient care and medical science.

In November 1987, Linda founded Better Hearing, initially to support her family. However, her work quickly evolved into a true passion for helping others improve their quality of life through better hearing. “The first time I saw tears shed because the patient could hear their loved ones, was very powerful. Ever since, I have had an overwhelming desire to help more people and provide the best treatment possible” This highlights the profound impact Linda’s work can have on families.

As her career progressed, Linda pursued advanced professional credentials, first becoming a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, and then earning the title of Audioprosthologist from The International Institute for Hearing Instrument Studies, approved by the American Council on Education. Her dedication to lifelong learning led her to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a specialist in Tinnitus Treatment.

Linda’s commitment to yearly Continuing Education courses keeps her at the forefront of the rapidly evolving science and technology of hearing loss. This dedication enables her to offer the latest treatments and innovations to her patients, ensuring they always receive the highest standard of care.

Linda is married to Kevin and together they have four children, seven grandchildren, and share their home with a dog and a cat.
